Terms and Conditions for the Y-STR Researcher Portal
Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully before accessing or using the Y-STR Researcher Portal ("Portal"). By accessing or using the Portal, you ("Researcher") agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the Portal.
1. Definitions
Portal: The online platform provided by www.e-m81.org for the sharing and dissemination of Y-STR data among registered Researchers.
Researchers: Qualified individuals, scientists, and professionals who have been approved to access and use the Portal after completing the registration process.
Content: All data, information, materials, and submissions provided by Researchers via the Portal.

By registering for and using the Portal, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms, including any modifications made from time to time.
3. Registration and Account Security
Registration: Access to the Portal is limited to approved Researchers. Registration requires you to provide accurate and complete information.
Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breaches.
Approval and Revocation: We reserve the right to approve or deny registration at our sole discretion and to revoke access at any time.
4. Accurate Information and Data Integrity
Accuracy Obligation: Researchers must submit information that is accurate, complete, and up-to-date to the best of their knowledge. The integrity and utility of the Portal depend on the quality of data provided.
Consequences of Misrepresentation: Any submission that is knowingly false, misleading, or inaccurate may lead to immediate suspension or termination of your account, without prior notice.
Ongoing Responsibility: You are required to promptly update your information to maintain its accuracy at all times.
5. Use of the Portal
Permitted Use: The Portal is intended exclusively for the sharing of Y-STR research data and related scholarly information.
Compliance: You agree to use the Portal in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines.
Prohibited Activities: Unauthorized use, including but not limited to commercial exploitation, unauthorized distribution, or any activities that compromise the security or integrity of the Portal, is strictly prohibited.

8. Termination

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
